Looking for a fun, welcoming place to sling spells and play Commander? Join us for Casual Commander at Papa Joey's Collectibles!

Whether you're brand new to Commander, dusting off an old favorite, or bringing your upgraded precon, our Casual Commander nights are built around great games, great people, and a relaxed atmosphere where everyone can have fun.

🎮 Commander Power Levels

To help create balanced, enjoyable games for everyone, Casual Commander uses the first three Commander Bracket tiers:

🎭 Tier 1 – Exhibition
Bring your janky brews, quirky themes, and silly strategies! This tier is all about memorable moments and creative gameplay.

⚔️ Tier 2 – Core
The classic Commander experience! This tier is designed to match the power level of out-of-the-box preconstructed decks and is perfect for newer players and casual regulars alike.

🔥 Tier 3 – Upgraded
Have a favorite precon you've customized? This is the place for it! Upgraded decks are welcome, including decks that use up to three official Game Changer cards.

No matter which tier you choose, our goal is to create fun, interactive games where everyone gets the chance to play and enjoy the table.

🦆 Mystery Duck Races!

Instead of tournament standings, every player has a chance to win throughout the evening!

Every 30 minutes, we'll hold one of our signature Duck Races, with every player currently participating receiving a duck.

🏁 The winning duck's player rolls a D20 and claims the matching Mystery Prize Envelope!

🎁 Most envelopes contain a random Magic: The Gathering booster pack, while one lucky roll may reveal a premium prize such as a Collector Booster or other special pack!

The excitement lasts all night, and everyone has multiple chances to win.
